GSE V-series surface mounted vibration generators are designed to provide years of service, in a wide variety of environments.


Two models are designed for outdoor roadside usage, and one model is optimized for indoor usage.

All models harvest vibrations through their bases.  They are most effective when operated on solid concrete bases.  The outdoor units should be mounted on a deep pedestal (12-18") with at least 3/4 of the pedestal below the road grade.

Roadway construction materials are an important consideration for the efficient operation of these units.   The unit must be located within 20 feet of vibration sources.  Rigid road surfaces such as concrete are ideal to achieve the maximum efficiency of these devices.  The units may be concealed by various means without significant impact on operating efficiency.


The output potentials of all GSE V-series devices is 98% dependent upon vehicle traffic flows. The performance of these devices has not yet been verified for either pedestrian or animal traffic.

The usage of internal (optional) or external storage is strongly recommended, especially if the units are used to power night persistent street lights.


There is not special wiring or mounting required.  The devices can be attached with many sorts of rigid connectors.  The energy generated by passing vehicles is optionally stored in an enclosed battery.   If AC service is required and optional inverter is mated with the maximum output of the unit.
